Bicycle/Equestrian Trail Assistance

BETA, in cooperation with staff members of the BLM, provide trailside assistance to people venturing on the trails of Fort Ord Public Lands.  Each member is familiar with the trail system, is trained in Emergency First Aid and CPR, and is equipped with a first aid kit and radio or cell phone.  They are recognizable by their clothing and or patch.

Each member volunteers six or more hours a month riding, hiking or cycling the trails of Fort Ord Public Lands.  Members receive free First Aid and CPR Training and participate in one day orientation session.

The BETA volunteers generally operates on weekends, special recreation activities, and holidays.  Exceptions may be requested by the BLM Fort Ord Project Manager or designated representative, however, BETA operates on a voluntary schedule and the BLM realizes that patrols may be limited or unavailable.

If you are interested in joining this enthusiastic group, please contact Joe Rodgers and join Team BETA!

Note to BETA members who wish to download the patch, just "right click" on the image and then choose "Save As" and put it where ever you want on your computer.  Once it is there, you can use it in other programs.
